The MTSM offers moderate-strength truss-to-masonry connections. This twist strap has a small bend section to reduce interference at the transition points between the two members. The MTSM is load rated for installation on both grout-filled CMU (GFCMU) and concrete.
Simpson Strong-Tie straps and plates join and reinforce joints with simple, versatile solutions for a wide range of connections. Available in many lengths, widths and thicknesses, straps can be used on the wide or narrow face of lumber for light repairs or heavy-duty projects. Many straps are designed to be used back-to-back on a piece of lumber without fastener interference. The MTSM Twist Strap offers a high-strength truss to masonry connection.
Zmax, 18 gauge, 2x galvanized rigid tie connector.
Joist hangers are designed to provide support underneath the joist, rafter or beam to provide a strong a connection. Simpson Strong-Tie offers a diverse line of hangers to handle almost any application with top flange, concealed flange and field-skewable and slopeable options. LUS joist hangers provide a connection between a joist and header.
Patented double-shear nailing design provides greater strength with fewer nails
Speed prongs for fast and easy installation
Angled joist nailing easier in tight spaces
Do not bend or remove tabs
Nominal joist size: Double 2x10 and Double 2x12
Made from 18-Gauge steel
ZMAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
Install with 16d common nails or #10 x 2-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD screws
Simpson Strong Tie LUS310 3 x 10/12 Double Shear Joist Hangers have double-shear nailing. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of standard nails for all connections. LUS310 3 x 10/12 Hangers are approved for installation with 16D nails only.
Post and column bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The AB series also offers adjustability around the anchor bolt to achieve optimum post placement. Many models provide a 1-in standoff from the concrete to help avoid post-end rot from moisture.
Attaches a post to existing concrete for decks, patio covers and other top-supported structures
Features 1-in standoff to help prevent rot at post end
Slotted for adjustability
Designed for versatility, cost-effectiveness and maximum uplift performance
Nominal post size: 6x6
Made from 14-Gauge steel
Z-MAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
Install with 16d common nails or 10 x 1-1/2 strong-drive SD screws
H3z hurricane tie zmax, various configurations of wind & seismic ties for trusses & rafters.
The LRUZ offers an economic alternative for those applications requiring a sloped hanger for rafter-to-ridge connections. Used with solid sawn rafters, the LRUZ's unique design enables the hanger to be installed either before or after the rafter is in place. The field-adjustable seat helps improve job efficiency by eliminating mismatched angles in the field and lead times associated with special orders. The LRUZ offers comparable or better load capacity to other rafter hangers at a reduced cost while using fewer fasteners.
Open design and ability to field-adjust the slope make the LRUZ ideal for both retrofit or new applications
Accommodates roof pitches from 0:12 to 14:12
Slopes up or down to 45? (12:12) - for slopes greater than 45? up to 49? (14:12) allowable loads are 0.85 of table loads
For added versatility, the fasteners on the face of the hanger are placed high enabling the bottom of the rafter to hang below the ridge beam
For nominal rafter sizes: 2 in. x 6 in., 2 in. x 8 in., 2 in. x 10 in.
Seat width: 1-9/16 in.
Made from 18-Gauge steel
ZMAX galvanization offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications
Install with 0.148 in. x 3 in. nails, 0.162 in. x 3-1/2 in. nails or #10 x 1-1/2 in. or 2-1/2 in. strong-drive SD screws

The ABU is an adjustable post base which offers moisture protection and finished hardware appearance. Manufactured with ZMAX steel for enhanced corrosion resistance. These post bases feature a 1" stand-off height above concrete floors, code-required when supporting permanent structures that are exposed to the weather, or water splash, or in basements. They reduce the potential for decay at post and column ends. Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports). Place the standoff base and then the post in the ABU and fasten using nails or Strong-Drive SD Connector screws or bolts.
