Simpson Strong Tie LUS310 3 x 10/12 Double Shear Joist Hangers have double-shear nailing. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of standard nails for all connections. LUS310 3 x 10/12 Hangers are approved for installation with 16D nails only.

Post and column bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The AB series also offers adjustability around the anchor bolt to achieve optimum post placement. Used with solid sawn rafters, the LRUZ's unique design enables the hanger to be installed either before or after the rafter is in place. The field-adjustable seat helps improve job efficiency by eliminating mismatched angles in the field and lead times associated with special orders. The LRUZ offers comparable or better load capacity to other rafter hangers at a reduced cost while using fewer fasteners.

The ABU is an adjustable post base which offers moisture protection and finished hardware appearance. Manufactured with ZMAX steel for enhanced corrosion resistance. These post bases feature a 1" stand-off height above concrete floors, code-required when supporting permanent structures that are exposed to the weather, or water splash, or in basements. They reduce the potential for decay at post and column ends. Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports). Place the standoff base and then the post in the ABU and fasten using nails or Strong-Drive SD Connector screws or bolts.
